A 5 minute walk outside in january should NEVER leave me as soaking wet as I am right now. Ridiculous. And then I go and pop open my emails, and what's on the top of the list but a nice little message from Reliance Home entitled "Beating the winter chill" I don't know where they're living but so called 'Winter chill' hasn't happened yet. I say yet because it's coming dammit! I want my snow!

It's a sad sad SAD day when I can't fill the kettle because there are too many dirty dishes in the sink.

One, ONE of those dishes was made dirty by me.

Really tempted to clean the whole kitchen and leave a really angry note about it, but I don't really have time to do so. I know that my room mates are kinda in the same boat, but some of those dishes have been there over two weeks, exams started yesterday. I really wish I had more time to spend at home this term, but I've had to be on campus all day most days, and even most weekends. I feel bad that I haven't been able to take care of the house as well as I should, but at the same time, I just want to leave it and see just how bad it gets before my room mates finally step up and do something about it! Hopefully next term will be better. I should be home more, so I can yell at people more.

A teacher in New York was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stomp on it and really mess it up, but do not rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty it was. She then told them to tell it they're sorry. Now even though they said......... they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind. And that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bully's another child, they may say they're sorry but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home. Copy and paste this if you are against bullying.

Cosplay... is being put on hold. *epic sadface* but I will be going to Florida next summer so I'll be missing the usual Con-season and all those fun events, so even if I had the budget and time for it, I'd have no where to wear my costumes. No AN or FanEx or ConBravo for me next year. Well I might make it back in time for FanEx, but it'll be tight, plus it's expensive. But on a side note, Mami Tomoe from Madoka has been eating at me and I'd love to make the costume.

Ok LJ peeps, what few of you there are, I needs some advice/help.

So Con Bravo is in three-ish weeks. Since last November, a friend and I had planned on being the Vocaloids Rin and Len. We went to MTAC as Rin and Len magnet version, and had lots of fun. At Con Bravo, we were going to enter the masquerade and preform the 'Love and Joy' dance, which is super cute, and I took a lot of time to learn it. Unfortunately due to school work (and some other issues me sense) etc. my cosplaying partner is no longer going to the Con.

So now I'm at a loss of what to do.
Basically the way I see it, is I've got three options:

1)Finish my barely started Len costume and go alone (not nearly as epic) and go solo in the masq (again, not nearly as epic)

2)Finish my mostly complete but I have no idea how to finish it Benten costume which was worn to the center island picnic, enter it into the masq (would probably just be a lame walk on cus I've been tearing my hair of for years trying to think of something fun to do with her since she's a COMPLETELY unrecognizable character)

3) Ditch the masq entierly, pull out my sub-par Flannery costume worn at AN and join the Con Bravo pokemon gym leader team, and have not as much fun cus I'm not as competitive with playing pokemon as the rest of them (plus I've got no time to revamp her team like everyone else did so it could still probably be swept by a level 30 squirtle)


... ok 4 options. I could wear Grell again now that I have the wig, maybe make a chainsaw to go with it. Might be kinda hot though.

Gah, I just dunno what to do! Thoughts? Suggestions??

OK, haven’t put anything on my LJ in almost a year… again. And since exams are over now, time to post something!

Ok, so recently I’ve been having really strange dreams… ok probably not more strange than my average dream, but I’ve been remembering them… which is strange. For the first time since I bought it over a year ago, I’ve been thankful for my dream journal. Before exams it had one entry in it, now it has 6, and I’m gonna share some with you, because I feel like it.

Con Bravo was pretty fun. Not sure what the turn out numbers were like, but it probably wasn't as big as they had hoped. It was definitely fun though, I hope that they continue with it!

I went as Duke Devlin... fabricated out of duct tape! It was pretty epic. Couldn't wear the shirt or the pants most of the day because it was too hot, but I wore them to the masquerade, and I won best workmanship in my division. :D The masquerade was pretty shourt, I only got to see 1.5 skits after I got my duct tape pants off again :P. I unfortunately didn't get any pictures of myself in the costume. I'm notoriously good at that, so i'm gonna have to put it on again at some point and take some decent pictures of the whole thing, as well as the dice and Joey (my iDog dressed as furry!Joey, who played the intro to Sexy Back all weekend long *grin* )

I really enjoyed going to the panels. I usually don't go to panels, but these ones were small and fun. Most got side tracked very easily, but the chat was very fun and informative. I actually attend the yaoi panel, it was very tame compared to AN and the Con-G yaoi panels, so I actually kinda survived (it helped that I spent most of the panel in a pokemon battle with the straight guy there to support his friends at the following panel)

It really sucked that the dance got noise-complaint shut down, because it kinda slowed the pace for the rest of the night. Only two people went to the "So You Think You Can Crossplay" panel, which was scheduled for after the dance, which made me sad, because it sounded like so much fun. ...Oh well, I ended up winning by default! Fun times.

...over all, much fun. 404s are win, the make-shift dating game was fun, live action mario party = way more fun than actual mario party, and I got to use my swiss chalet coupon for free garlic cheese loaf which would have otherwise gone un-used.

I somehow managed to loose my watch on the last day. This makes me very sad. I feel so naked without it. I thought I had it in my pocket all day, but I guess it either fell out, or I put it down somewhere else after looking at it. Am sad, now I have to use my cell phone as an alarm and a clock to time my work shifts I guess.



Well, back to work tomorrow. Guess I'll just enjoy the Independence day fireworks across the river, and go to bed.

Yup, it's that time of year again, and you know what that means...

Soooo, it's been a while since my last entry. I neglect lj a lot, though I do come on just about every day to read what other people are doing.
Second term has been busy. I opted not to do Script Mo because it's right smack down in the middle of exams. Although, I've been just as lazy as ever, I kinda regret not doing it, I need more motivation to do something useful. My life is kinda sucking right now. School's not going too great (I'm passing, but I don't feel like I'm getting enough out of my classes) I still don't have anyone to occupy the spare rooms in my house for the fall, I still have no job for the summer, and if I don't get one, I'm being shipped back to Calgary, which means, no AN, no cosplay picnic, no Con-G picnic, no fan expo, no getting to use the condo pool, and probably no going to cottage. Not to mention, probably still not having a job. I've been not hearing good things about the job market in Calgary right now, though here's not much better.
*sigh* Parentals are at the cottage this weekend, but I've still got exams to study for so I can't join them. I should probably call them.

... I've added Pretty Cure to my list of things I want to cosplay, but I need at least one other person to go with me! The series is pretty lame (typical teen magical girl) but their outfits are just too cute!

That's right, my computer gave me the good ol' Blue Screen od Death. And when I say death, I really mean death. Spent the better part of the weekend trying to fix it. I was supposed to get studying and research done, but that hasn't happened yet. On the bright side, I AM posting this entry from my computer, which means it's working now . . . the only problem is, I couldn't get it to install XP for the life of me, so now I'm running Vista X_x Joy! I've heard that the school will give out copies fo the Windows XP installer CDs, so I'm gonna try to get my hands on one later this week.

In the mean time, I'm behind on study, behind on research, and really behind on my NaNo. I'm gonna have to work extra hard this week if I want to be able to go with my aunts and mom to the states to go shopping.

Signed up! If nothing else it will be good stress, to you know, help me with my terrible "I don't stress enough" problem. XD Hopefully it will be fun. I fully intend to not finish, but hopefully I'll at least start. I plan on dedicating at least from 10pm-11pm every day to Nano. Who knows, if it because a good routine maybe I can continue with it and actually work on my comic which has been all but neglected the past two months.

You other people who have done it before may be getting bothered by me a bunch since I'll probably have lots of questions and am too lazy to find the help stuff on their site.

So, I don't really know much about NaNoWriMo, except that you try to write a novel that's at least 50 000 words within the month of November, but I'm thinking about doing it this year, because I have this crazy story idea, and need some sort of motivation to write it. Anyone care to enlighten me??

Ok, so lately i've been un inspired, but wanting to draw, as well as wanting to get to know my characters a bit better for DeathWitch, so I had an idea, but I decided I need your help!

Ok, so I'm sure you know those Memes, where you take your OCs, number them, and then it asks you questions like: if four invited seven and twelve to dinner what would happen? or Nine falls in love with two and eight is jealous, what does eight do? Well I want to do something like that, however, if I were to do a premade one, I would number the characters to get the results I want (which is no fun) as well, the premade ones aren't always that fun, but I can't make up my own questions, because again, I'd be making it so I'd get the results I want. So this is where you come in!!

I've made a grid of 15 characters in a completely random order, and I'd like you to come up with random questions, like the ones above, involving as few or as many characters as you want, and then I will answer them (hopefully) with a quick sketch.

Just a few things:

- I'm not going to tell you what the numbers are just yet (I want it to be totally random, also, I'm not done drawing them :P )
- if you'd like to as questions about specific characters (rather than just random numbers) feel free to do so!
